Welcome to our daily farm life and information about the homestead.
We didn’t choose to homestead, it chose us. It’s something that has always been in our blood. There are many people that have felt this same calling just like us. If you are joining us here, please know that we are here to support you every step of the way.
There has never been a time in my life where I have read a frontier book, survival story, or watched the amazing TV show Alone and not learned something along the way. For that reason we are here to pass on the helpful tips we have learned for raising livestock, growing your own food and ultimately becoming self-sufficient.
What do you do on your homestead?
The real question should be what don’t we do. Currently my husband still works off the farm on a swine operation we are in the process of purchasing. He works to breed, farrow and finish naturally raised hogs that are completely organic. A big task in a commercial industry but well worth the effort.
Personally I’m a “Jill-of-all-trades”. Currently I work part-time online for a fantastic blogger. I also work here at Mom, Wife, Homestead Life regularly as I build this into a thriving business. We homeschool our three boys 10, 7, and 2. Gardening, raising cows, sewing and selling our surplus are my favorite hobbies. If you share any of these same interests be sure to drop my a line so we can chat more in depth.
